Description

Product Overview

The Bora Portamate Mobile Base PM‑1000, manufactured by Affinity Tools, is engineered for heavy‑duty mobility in professional workshops and home garages. With a 400 lb (181 kg) load capacity, the steel frame supports a wide range of equipment—from table saws and band‑saws to planers, jointers, shapers, and spindle sanders. The base adjusts in 1‑inch increments, offering square dimensions from 12 × 12 in to 32 × 32 in and rectangular layouts up to 17 × 48 in, allowing a custom fit for virtually any machine footprint. Constructed from cold‑rolled steel with a low‑profile design, it raises the equipment height by less than 1 inch, preserving ergonomics while delivering full mobility.

Usage

Designed for both commercial and DIY environments, this mobile base excels in woodworking shops, metal‑fabrication bays, and hobbyist garages. Whether you need to reposition a heavy table saw for a new project layout or relocate a planer for cleaning, the PM‑1000 provides effortless movement without sacrificing stability. The 3‑inch hard‑rubber wheels glide smoothly over concrete, wood, and metal floors, while the foot‑operated locking levers secure the base in place during operation, preventing unwanted drift.

FAQ

What is the maximum weight the base can support?

The PM‑1000 is rated for a maximum load of 400 lb (181 kg), suitable for most standard woodworking and metal‑working equipment.

Can the base be used on uneven floors?

Yes. The adjustable legs allow you to level the base on slightly uneven surfaces, and the rubber wheels absorb minor imperfections.

How do I adjust the size of the base?

Simply slide the steel panels along the pre‑drilled slots in 1‑inch increments and lock them in place with the built‑in pins.

Is assembly required?

The base arrives partially assembled; a few bolts and the locking levers need to be attached, which can be completed with a standard wrench in under 15 minutes.

Will the base rust over time?

The steel is powder‑coated for corrosion resistance, and with normal indoor workshop conditions it will maintain its finish for years.
